The Turkish Airlines 737 was evacuated when the landing gear caught fire.

Passengers on a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 were forced to evacuate when its main landing gear overheated and caught fire at Antakya-Hatay Airport.

The Boeing 737-800 took off from Istanbul as TK2256 for the short journey to Anatkia, but after landing, the brakes caught fire.

The 104 passengers and 6 crew members were successfully evacuated, and the airport’s fire department extinguished and cooled the landing gear.

There have been no reports of injuries. According to early information, there were no reports of passenger or crew member health issues.

On Twitter, FSX Aviation shared a video of the event, which occurred overnight.
